Providence University, located in Taichung, Taiwan, is a prestigious institution of higher learning known for its strong commitment to academic excellence, moral values, and community engagement. Established in 1956 by the Sisters of Providence, a Catholic religious congregation, the university has since grown into a renowned center for education and research.
The university has steadily grown to its present position as one of the foremost medical universities in Taiwan. The university has two major campuses, Taichung (including Wuquan and Ankang) and Beigang.
