Description
Beginning in the January 2024 session, international undergraduate andgraduate students living abroad and studying online may be eligible to receivea scholarship for the prevailing tuition rate.
Benefits
Eligible applicants will receive 50% off prevailing tuition rate. An undergraduate student receives savings of $257 per credit hour, while a graduate student receives savings of $388 per credit hour.
Eligibility
- New and readmit certificate or degree seeking undergraduate and graduate students
- Must be international student studying online from outside the United States
- Readmit students must meet eligibility requirements of 2.5 CGPA for UG and 3.0 CGPA for GR and not be in a dismissed academic status
- Standard Placement in Math and English on DeVry administered placement test or placement equivalency satisfied by transfer credit
- Student must complete the APIS Terms and Conditions document via DocuSign prior to the scholarship application being submitted
- Must satisfy one of the following:
- Must meet minimum score on one of the following standardized ESL tests:
- TOEFL – Paper Based (Undergraduate required score 500, Graduate required score 550)
- TOEFL – Computer Based (Undergraduate required score 190, Graduate required score 213)
- TOEFL – Internet Based (Undergraduate required score 61, Graduate required score 79)
- IELTS (Undergraduate required score 6.0, Graduate required score 6.0)
- iTEP (Undergraduate required score 4.0, Graduate required score 4.5)
- Must meet minimum score on one of the following standardized ESL tests:
- The applicants completed their secondary or postsecondary education in a country where English is not the official/ native language; however, English was the principal language of instruction at the institution. Such applicants may submit a letter from the institution’s registrar or principal indicating the language of instruction at the institution was English or that the program was taught in English.

Undergraduate students must be enrolled in 12 hours per semester.
Graduate students must be in enrolled in 6 hours per semester
Students may take one semester off after they have completed 2 full semesters of attendance
Remain enrolled in Online-International (ON4) location
Students choosing to study at an on-site location within the United States will lose APIS and have awards removed
