Description
Elizabeth A Cooper, who was severely disabled by polio in her childhood, was a significant leader in the disability rights movement. She was one of the founders of the Disabled Persons Assembly Palmerston North and was a staunch advocate in supporting people with disabilities. Elizabeth passed away in 2001, this grant was established by Massey University in her memory.
