Description
Jointly funded by NZTR and Dean McKenzie, this Scholarship offers an award to support promising students connected to the Thoroughbred racing industry in their educational pursuits. The primary objective is to nurture future leaders for the benefit of New Zealand’s racing industry.
The Scholarship aims to support motivated and passionate individuals who aspire to pursue a Commerce or Law degree at a university in New Zealand.

Eligibility
- Academic Standing: Applicants must be recent school leavers and be enrolled in or have received acceptance into an accredited university for the upcoming academic year seeking to undertake a business or law degree.
- Thoroughbred Industry: Applicants must be able to establish an existing connection with the New Zealand Thoroughbred Industry in some capacity. This connection may be via community, employment, family, or such as to satisfy the selection panel.
