Description

Pursuing higher education, especially one in law, can be incredibly daunting both financially and mentally, and they aim to award a student’s tenacity for taking this massive step forward. The legal field has always benefited from fresh talent and new perspectives, and if they can open the way for a first-generation student, they will be glad for it.

The winner of our Legal Legacy Scholarship will be awarded $1,000 to use toward their schooling expenses.

Eligibility

Before applying, please note our non-negotiable eligibility requirements:

  • You must be a first-generation student studying law or pre-law at an accredited school.
  • You must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a pre-law undergraduate program or accredited law school within the United States for the Fall 2026 semester.
  • You must be at least 17 years old.
  • You must be a citizen of the United States.

Applicants are required to answer the following prompt in a short essay response of no more than 500 words.

Essay prompt: As a law or pre-law student, what do you want to accomplish with your degree? How will you contribute to making our society better?

Your response should be uploaded in .docx or PDF format.In addition, they ask that you provide proof of your enrollment at your university or law school - such as a class schedule, unofficial transcript, or acceptance letter.

Applications for the Legal Legacy Scholarship should be submitted prior to September 16, 2026.
