Description

The International Grammar School Independent School Scholarship has been established to offer students a unique opportunity to work at a leading Independent School within the Greater Sydney area.The scholarship will be awarded to a student with an excellent academic record who will contribute to the curricular and co-curricular life of this School.

Benefits

This scholarship is valued at $12,000 per annum for full-time bachelor's degree recipient and is tenable for up to one year.

This scholarship is valued at $9,000 per annum for full-time master's degree recipient and is tenable for up to nine months.

Eligibility

You must:

  • be planning to be enrolled full-time in your final year of one of the following:
    • Master of Teaching (Primary Education)
    • Master of Teaching (Secondary Education)
    • Bachelor of Education (Primary Education)
    • Bachelor of Education (Secondary: Human Movement and Health Education)
    • Bachelor of Education (Secondary: Humanities and Social Sciences) and Bachelor of Arts
    • Bachelor of Education (Secondary: Science) and Bachelor of Science
    • Bachelor of Education (Secondary: Mathematics) and Bachelor of Science
    • Master of Education (Special and Inclusive Education)
    • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)
    • Master of Teaching (Early Childhood)
  • be studying English, Italian, French, Chinese, drama, music, history, economics, business, commerce, mathematics, science or special education (secondary education only)
  • have a weighted average mark (WAM) of at least 75 across the past two years of study (bachelor degree only)
  • be willing to:
    • spend one day a week at the School for School Terms 1, 2, 3 and 4 (except during the unpaid internship) (bachelor degree only),
    • undertake an unpaid internship at the School during School Term 4 (bachelor degree only),
    • spend one day a week at the School for School Terms 1, 2 and 3 (except during the unpaid internship) (masters degree only),
    • undertake an unpaid internship at the School during School Term 3 (masters degree only), 
    • receive guidance from a mentor teacher,
    • participate in academic, pastoral and co-curricular activities.
