Description
This scholarship offers students a unique opportunity to work at a leading Independent School within the Greater Sydney area.
Benefits
For Bachelor’s degree recipients the Scholarship is valued at $12,000 per annum for up to one year.
For Master’s degree recipients the scholarship is valued at $9,000 and is tenable for up to nine months.
Eligibility
You must:
- be planning to be enrolled full-time in the final year in 2025 in one of the following degrees:
- Master of Teaching (Early Childhood)
- Master of Teaching (Primary)
- Master of Teaching (Secondary)
- Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)
- Bachelor of Education (Primary)
- Bachelor of Education (Secondary)
- Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Secondary)
- Bachelor of Education (Health and Physical Education)
- be studying in one or more of the following areas of study:
- Early Learning
- Primary teaching
- Secondary teaching in biology, chemistry, commerce, business studies, economics, English, French, history, mathematics, physics, and/or other disciplines on offer at Kambala
- have a weighted average mark (WAM) of at least 75 across the past two years of study (bachelor degree only)
- have a valid Working With Children Check, First Aid and CPR qualification
- be willing to (for Bachelor's degree students):
- spend one day a week at the School for School Terms 1, 2, ,3 (except during the unpaid internship/placements)
- undertake an unpaid internship at the School during School Term 4
- be willing to (for Master's degree students):
- spend one day a week at the School for School Terms 1 and 2
- undertake an unpaid internship at the School during School Term 3
- you must also be willing to (for both Bachelor's and Master's students):
- take part in the schools onboarding and induction process
- receive guidance from a mentor teacher
- participate in academic, pastoral and co-curricular activities.
