Description

The Vice Chancellor’s Global Mobility Award provides coursework students from low socio-economic and diverse backgrounds with financial support to access the Semester Exchange Program or a short-term global mobility experience* overseas during their course. 

Benefits

The Vice Chancellor's Global Mobility Award is valued at $5,000 for a Semester Exchange Program or up to $2,500 for eligible in-person short-term global mobility programs. 

Eligibility

  • You must have successfully completed a minimum of 24 credit points at the University of Sydney in your current course and be meeting the progression requirements of the relevant course resolutions and the Coursework Policy 2014, and 
  • You must have applied for admission to the University of Sydney through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) and were admitted to the University through one of the following admission pathways:
    • MySydney Entry and Scholarship Scheme
    • Broadway Scheme
    • Early Offer Year 12 (E12) Scheme (pre-2024)
    • Regional and Remote Entry Scheme
    • The Gadigal Program or you identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, or 
    • You entered your parents' highest educational qualifications at the point of your first enrolment at the University of Sydney and your responses support that you are first in your immediate family to study at university. If you did not complete the parental qualifications fields or your responses do not support your first in family status, and you have not met at least one of the eligibility criteria listed above, you will not be eligible to receive the Vice Chancellor's Global Mobility Award. 
  • You must have met the minimum academic eligibility and credit requirements of the specific global mobility program and have received confirmation of acceptance into
    • a Semester Exchange Program, or
    • Short-term global mobility experience*, or
    • Faculty/School administered unit of study with an embedded overseas study and/or fieldwork component.

The start date you enter in your OS-HELP loan application and OS-HELP debt confirmation form must match the start date in your host acceptance letter or your loan application will be withdrawn, and you will be asked to submit a new application with the correct start date. You must complete both the OS-HELP loan application and the OS-HELP debt confirmation form in Sydney Student prior to your loan application being reviewed.
