Description
The Renewed Horizons Scholarship aims to empower single parents who are committed to furthering their education and improving their family’s future.
Benefits
This scholarship is available to eligible solo parents pursuing a college degree and offers an award of $1,000 per semester. It will be awarded to one student in the Fall semester and one student in the Spring semester.
Eligibility
The Renewed Horizons Scholarship was created with the intent to offer financial relief to single parents pursuing a higher education. To be eligible for our award, you must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be single parents (biological, step, or adoptive). To meet the qualifications of a single parent, you must be either a primary custodian or share equal custody of at least one child and be either separated or divorced.
- Applicants must be able to show evidence of a minimum GPA of 3.0 on their most recently completed academic semester’s unofficial transcript.
- Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited university or college within the United States for the Spring 2026 semester.
- Applicants must be a permanent resident or citizen of the United States.
