Description

This scholarship is intended for international students whose repression in totalitarian, authoritarian, and restricted regimes anywhere in the world makes it difficult or even impossible to study. The purpose is to provide study opportunities to those who have been illegally denied the right to study and/or are oppressed by the state and local authorities. 

Benefits

The VH scholarship does not cover the tuition fees but rather to helps with the living costs.

The allocated amount depends on the number of applicants, the allocated budget for the calendar year, and additional circumstances. Therefore, it is not possible to specify the amount granted to each student more precisely.

  • VHS can only be awarded to a student who has been admitted and enrolled to study at one of the faculties of Charles University.

A student who intends to apply for a scholarship will receive an application form from the faculty. The application must be accompanied by all the annexes as specified in the Rector's Directive in force (Article 3, points 6 and 7).

The complete hard copy of the application, including all its attachments, is submitted through the designated Dean or Vice-Dean on two dates, 31 March and 31 October, to the Rector's Office for delivery to the President of the Council.
