Description
In April 1998 GSA loaned forty works of art from its Archives and Collections to the Hida Takayama Museum of Art in Takayama, Japan for a Charles Rennie Mackintosh exhibition. Mr Mukai, Director of the museum provided GSA with an endowment to establish this scholarship, to assist Japanese students to undertake study at GSA and to further mutual understanding and cultural development between the two countries.
Benefits
The scholarship is worth £1,500.
Eligibility
- Open to all Master’s programmes.
- Open to Japanese residents (i.e. those paying full international fees) to undertake taught or research postgraduate study at the GSA.

If you are eligible, you can apply for a maximum of two scholarships, and only one application form is required to apply for both scholarships. Scholarships are not awarded on a first come first served basis, but as there is a high demand, we cannot accept late applications.
