Key facts

The Evolution Ecology and Systematics Master at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) Munich in which during the program, they become familiar with the many techniques and approaches that are used in evolution, ecology, and systematics research. These include micro-array techniques, field experiments, the use of natural history collections, mathematical modelling, and modern genetic methods. In addition to extensive research experience to prepare them for a PhD program, students will also gain valuable technical and communication skills to prepare them for a job outside of academia. The program also offers significant support elements such as a mentoring program, integrated skills courses, and individual research training

1. Proof that you successfully completed a bachelor's degree with a total of at least 180 ECTS credits (1 ECTS credit corresponds to 30 working hours) in biology or a related subject, e.g. bioinformatics, chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, and agricultural biology;

2. English proficiency ;

3. Curriculum vitae;

Curriculum vitae in English, indicating your name, academic background, work experience, and other relevant information. (max. 2 pages).

4. Motivation essay;

Motivation essay of up to 600 words in English.
