Overview

The Master of Choral Conducting degree at the University of Alberta includes studies in piano, voice, strings and selected other instruments, as well as routes in piano pedagogy and wind band conducting.

Focusing on the practical study of music performance, conducting or composition, our three M.Mus. programs allow students to delve into the concentration of their choice. Interested applicants will be highly qualified performers and/or composers who have demonstrated a high level of achievement in their fields.

Applicants are normally required to have completed a four-year baccalaureate degree, or its academic equivalent, from an academic institution recognized by the University of Alberta.

An admission grade point average of 3 on most 4-point grading systems or B on most letter grading systems, based on your most recent two years of full time study (or equivalent) is required.
