Overview
What is the EMCL++
The the emphasis of the European Master in Clinical Linguistics (EMCL) program at University of Eastern Finland is on crosslinguistic studies of language-impaired children and adults, language testing in neurosurgical settings, and the usage of neurotechnology and IT for the diagnosis and treatment of language impairments. At UGENT students are familiarized with advanced topics in statistics and psycholinguistics, including bilingualism, dyslexia, and eye tracking.
Finally, at UEF, the main focus is on speech technology and programming with Python, including both fundamental theory and methods, as well as their application to the assessment of, and adaptive solutions for, speech impairments.

General requirements
- Candidates should have at least three years of higher education (BA, BSc or equivalent) with an emphasis on one or more of the following: Speech and language pathology, Linguistics, Biomedical sciences, Psychology, Special education
- Completed application form
- Letter of motivation for applying to the EMCL++ programme
- Copies of your academic curriculum (official transcripts) and a copy of your university degree certificate, plus authorised translations if these are not in English, Dutch, German or Finnish
- Curriculum vitae in EuroPass format, with your photo on the first page
- Copy of your passport or official ID card
- Language test results or other proof of required English skills
