Overview
The Faculty of Translation and Interpreting awards a Master of Arts in Conference Interpreting from University of Geneva with a full range of courses in consecutive and simultaneous interpreting.
To be admitted to the Master of Arts in Conference Interpreting programme, you must meet the registration requirements of the University of Geneva and hold a university degree. In addition, you must pass the written and oral entrance examinations (see art. 9 of the Faculty Study Regulations), thereby demonstrating a high linguistic level and good knowledge of current affairs. The Interpreting Department
Our flagship training program, the Master of Arts in Conference Interpreting (MA CI), prepares students for a career as conference interpreters in international organizations, in international diplomacy and in international business.
Additionally, the Interpreting Department offers a wide range of customized short courses as part of our continuing education portfolio, including basic skill training for court interpreters and field interpreters.

- Hold a university degree: a Bachelor's (BA) degree or another university degree deemed equivalent
- Every professional conference interpreter has a language combination that determines the languages from and into which s/he works. It usually consists of an A language, (sometimes) a B language, and one or more C languages.
- Pass the FTI's written and oral exams
