Key Facts

The internship option combines coursework with a practical work term placement designed to serve as an enrichment experience. The thesis option provides students with the opportunity to design and conduct a research project in their area of scholarly interest.
The Kinesiology (MHK) specialization from University of Windsor focuses on the application of movement science in sport, the workplace, and activities of daily living. Students pursue course work, thesis research, and/or internships that examines the basic and applied principles of human biomechanics, motor performance and exercise physiology.
The Sport Management and Leadership (MSML) specialization focuses upon the understanding of the components of organizational behaviour in the context of amateur and professional sport environments. Students will pursue course work and either thesis research or an internship that focuses on topics such as leadership, organizational effectiveness, sport marketing, organizational change, and philosophical, historical, and social issues of management.

General requirements

In addition to the general admission requirements of the Faculty of Graduate Studies the following are employed in the determination of a candidate's admission status:
Students must have a faculty advisor before being admitted
A person who holds a three-year degree in another discipline is required to complete the requirements for the Master's degree as outlined in the Graduate Calendar. Completion of up to ten Kinesiology undergraduate courses beyond the minimum requirement may be deemed necessary.
A person who holds a four-year degree in another discipline may be required to take up to five Kinesiology undergraduate courses prior to taking graduate courses*.
