It is recognised by the European Commission as an Erasmus Mundus Master of Excellence. The Euroculture - Society, Politics and Culture in a Global Context degree at University of Groningen is a two-year programme of four semesters (120 ECTS), taught fully in English.

Candidates must have completed an academic Bachelor degree in a discipline of relevance to Euroculture.
Examples of a matching educational background: A degree in the Arts, Humanities or Social Sciences, such as: European studies, History, International Relations, Cultural studies, Literature, Sociology, Political Sciences, Anthropology, Philosophy, Communication and Media Studies, International/ European Law, Theology.
The minimum requirements are as follows:
- An appropriate and detailed motivation
- A study background in an appropriate academic field.
- A study background of appropriate academic quality.
- A study background at an appropriate Higher Education Institution.
- A study background with sufficient experience with academic writing.
- A study background with an appropriate level of spoken and written English.
