About the programme

It now is an important social need to cultivate professionals who are well educated in the medicine- oriented sciences. University of Tsukuba's master’s degree program in medical sciences was established to provide opportunities for those students who had received other undergraduate education than medicine to obtain knowledge of medicine and medical sciences, and to develop the ability of its application. Graduates of this Medical Sciences program are expected to contribute to the progress of research in the fields of basic medical sciences, clinical medicine, community medicine and nursing science. It is also the aim of this program to train professionals who can serve as experts in various medicine-related fields, such as preventive medicine, occupational medicine, nursing, medical welfare, medical engineering and medical administration.

General requirements

Applicant must be a foreign student from abroad or currently living in Japan to start a new graduate level education.
Highly motivated and talented students with a background in life science or medicine are encouraged to apply.

Minimum requirement of Grade Point Average (GPA) on your latest academic record should be at least 2.30 on 3.00 scale and maintain a same academic standard during the scholarship period.
Applicant must satisfy one of the qualifications or conditions in (6) Language Proficiency.
