Overview

The International Economics and Economic Policy program offered by Goethe University Frankfurt prepares students for challenging careers in administration, politics, and national and international organizations. In addition to applied econometrics and micro and macroeconomics, the program provides in-depth knowledge of international economic policy and globalization.

The program focuses on economic topics with strong international correlations, such as international relations in trade and development, and monetary and fiscal policy.

The program aims to provide students with the analytical, economic, and quantitative skills and knowledge necessary for challenging careers in economic analysis. These careers include leading positions in ministries, associations, international organizations, enterprises, and development cooperation. The program also prepares students for careers in academia. The program is taught at a high academic level and uses the latest methods and concepts. The teaching concept links intensive student monitoring with autonomous academic work and regular contact with economic practice.

Bachelor’s degree in economics or an equivalent national or international degree in the same or a similar programme;

Letter of motivation in English Language (up to 750 words)

If you have not yet completed your bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), you can apply for the program if you have received at least 80% of the CP required for graduation (e.g. 144 CP in a normal 180 CP bachelor’s program).
You need English language skills at level C1
