Overview
What is this course about?
After the first Biology semester at Ulm University, you choose your major in "Molecular Biosciences", "Neurobiology" and "Biodiversity / Ecology". You also choose modules from a field of medicine (biochemistry, pharmacology / toxicology, virology, human genetics, medical neurosciences) or biophysics or one of the other main areas of biology and acquire specific knowledge in one of the non-biological subjects of computer science, psychology, economics, Mathematics, chemistry or philosophy.
Programme Structure
Topics to choose from:- At Ulm University you can choose between three major topics: "Molecular Bioscience", "Neurobiology" or "Biodiversity/Ecology". The medical minor topics (biochemistry, pharmacology/toxicology, virology, human genetics or medical neuroscience) are only offered in German language with the exception of Virology.
- However you can also chose from one of the other major topics in biology as your minor. As your non-biological minor topic we recommend "Thinking about Science" and German classes. If you are already fluent in German you can also choose between computer science, psychology, economics, mathematics, chemistry or philosophy. All these courses are only offered in German language.
