Help investors make substantial real estate decisions
Evaluating property investments against equity, fixed income and other financial derivative-types lies at the core of real estate finance and investment management. In this track you learn to understand the financial and economic aspects of commercial real estate assets for both individual and institutional investors.
During the Finance - Real Estate Finance programme of the University of Amsterdam you will acquire the quantitative and conceptual skill-set to make the complex decisions required in modern real estate finance and investment.

Career prospects
Graduates of the Master's in Finance/Real Estate Finance track have excellent job prospects for positions as asset manager, securitisation specialist or international property broker. You may also choose a career in stock analysis, acquisitions or credit management, or become an appraiser, consultant or project manager at Dutch or international companies, such as:

General requirements
- An academic Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, or a degree in Business Economics, Economics or Business Administration with a specialisation in Finance or Real Estate Finance
- Eligible candidates must have at least 15 ECTS of: courses in finance. This should include: Investments, Corporate Finance, and Derivatives. Courses in econometrics (2nd or 3rd year course)
- Applicants with Bachelor's degrees in other areas must additionally have proven knowledge of: microeconomics, macroeconomics, accounting, mathematics and statistics at foundation-year level
- English language proficiency
- GMAT or GRE scores
- Upload a motivation letter and show personal initiative
