General requirements
- General selection, special selection for adult learners, and special selection for overseas students: Consists of written and oral examinations. The written exam includes foreign language and specialist subject tests. The foreign language section assesses comprehension and communication skills, while the specialist subject measures knowledge and skills in the field. The oral exam evaluates general competencies such as issue awareness, framing of issues, and problem-solving skills.
- International course entrance exam: For applicants to international courses taught only in English, guidance through preliminary interviews and individual exams is conducted at Kyushu University’s Ito Campus and overseas offices (e.g., California).
- Individual screening exam: Students with exceptional talents suited for this Graduate School are assessed via document screening and tailored scholastic aptitude tests.
