Overview
Our Child and Adolescent Mental Health course at King's College London is taught by leading figures in the field and offers comprehensive content with strong research and clinical focus.
You will develop clinical skills and be able to contribute to culturally-sensitive and clinically-effective services through relevant research, including health service development research. You will be taught research methodology and statistics, issues relating to child development, aetiology of child and adolescent disorders, the psychological and physical treatments for emotional, behavioural and developmental disorders in children and young people. You will complete a research project, which could use quantitative or qualitative methodologies.

General requirements
- Bachelor's degree with at least 2:1 honours in psychology/medicine/nursing/social work/education from a UK university or the overseas equivalent plus one year full time postgraduate experience working with children or adolescents with mental health problems.
- A 2:2 degree may be considered only where applicants also has substantial clinical experience.
- A personal statement of up to 4,000 characters (maximum 2 pages) is required.
- A copy (or copies) of your official academic transcript(s), showing the subjects studied and marks obtained.
- One academic reference is required. A professional reference will be accepted if you have completed your qualifications over five years ago.
- Applicants may wish to include a CV (Resume) or evidence of professional registration as part of their application.
