The Master Programme in Social Sciences - Digital Media and Society at Uppsala University, provides you with the advanced tools to understand and analyse how media are shaping - and being shaped by - culture, education, politics and economy, and how they interact with every day, professional and social life. A Bachelor's degree, equivalent to a Swedish Kandidatexamen, from an internationally recognised university.Also required is:

90 credits in political science or corresponding knowledge; and

documented written independent academic work (i.e. one or several academic essays or papers).

All applicants need to verify English language proficiency that corresponds to English studies at upper secondary (high school) level in Sweden ("English 6").

Students are selected based on:

a total appraisal of quantity and quality of previous university studies;

relevance of previous studies;

a proposal for a Master's thesis written in English;
