It is hard to imagine more interesting times to study European and international politics. The European Union (EU) is facing internal and external challenges that were almost inconceivable until a few years ago.

You'll explore three categories during the curriculum: research methods, skills and leadership development, plus nine mandatory courses. Not forgetting your final master's thesis.  

Taught in English, the Political Science - European and International Governance at  Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB)  is a one-year program dealing with two of the most important fields of political science: European studies/governance and international politics/relations. It will allow Belgian and international students to acquire the skills and know-how needed for kickstarting a career in diplomacy, national and international institutions or related professional fields (such as lobbying, journalism, policy and academic research). If students are interested to get a higher degree of specialization, the program can be extended in an easy and favourable way to a second-year interdisciplinary Master-After-Master on European integration. 

Accreditation

All degree programs offered by VUB are accredited by the Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organisation (NVAO), ensuring that they meet the highest predefined quality standards. Alongside this official quality control system, VUB has an internal Quality Control Commission in charge of permanently monitoring the quality of education.
