This Physiotherapy (pre-registration) MSc at King's College London will prepare you for working independently and with teams to provide high-quality, person centered care that aims to optimise health, function and well-being for individuals and to promote living well and self-management for populations and people living with long term conditions.

Career prospects

On completion of the programme, you will be able to apply for registration to practise as a physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). This enables you to practise in a wide variety of settings and is mandatory for employment within the NHS. You will also be eligible to apply for full membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

Whilst a significant majority of recent graduates go on to work in healthcare including the NHS, they are increasingly taking on roles in emerging areas for Physiotherapists including Social Care, Public Health, sports and leisure, clinical and academic research and other graduate opportunities.

General requirements

Minimum 2:1 first degree in biomedical sciences or relevant disciplines such as Psychology and Sports Science, or the equivalent overseas qualifications. Applicants with other degrees will be assessed on their merits.

A personal statement of up to 4,000 characters (maximum 2 pages) is required.

A copy (or copies) of your official academic transcript(s), showing the subjects studied and marks obtained. Please also give your A-level (or equivalent qualification) results (school/college; date; subject; grade).

Two references are required with at least one academic. A professional reference will be accepted if you are currently in full-time employment

You may wish to include a CV (Resume) or evidence of professional registration as part of your application.
