Contemporary film studies is a diverse, interdisciplinary field that incorporates a variety of approaches to the analysis of film and film culture. Our Film Studies MA at King's College London builds on the research strengths of our distinguished staff to offer modules that examine a wide range of cinema styles and approaches to studying film.

General requirements
- 2:1 undergraduate honours degree in film studies or a subject in which film or media plays a significant part (candidates from other disciplines may be considered)
- A personal statement of up to 4,000 characters (maximum 2 pages) is required.
- A copy (or copies) of your official academic transcript(s), showing the subjects studied and marks obtained.
- One academic reference is required. A professional reference will be accepted if you have completed your qualifications over five years ago. In some cases, we may request an additional reference from you.
- You must also provide a piece of written work of at least 4,000 words on a relevant topic.
- Applicants may wish to include a CV (Resume) or evidence of professional registration as part of their application.
