Overview
The main focus of this Behavioural and Cognitive Neurosciences Research Master at University of Groningen is to train students to become independent researchers.
For this purpose, a large portion of the programme is devoted to two research projects (in total 70 ECTS) in which the students are embedded in research groups to conduct their own experiments. Students are encouraged to perform one of these research projects abroad.

General requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in the Life Sciences, (Molecular) Biology, Medicine, Artificial Intelligence, Psychology or related programmes. The Admissions Board determines whether the content of the previous degree programme meets the admission requirements.
- The BCN research master is highly selective. Selection will be based on academic performance and motivation to determine if you will be selected for the master's programme. In 2019-20, the average GPA of admitted candidates was 7.9 (Dutch grades). After you have registered via www.rug.nl/fse/msc-admission (before May 1st) your application will be requested to pass on to the Admissions Board of the programme.
