Overview
Our department offers undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programmes with a qualified academic staff, continuing its educational and research activities. The PhD programme at Atilim University is one of only two universities in Turkiye that offers doctoral-level education in this field.
In our department, while there is a comprehensive focus on the fundamental phases of software (such as analysis, design, development, and testing) and related methodologies, education is also provided in specialized areas such as Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Software Quality Assurance, Software Requirements Engineering, Software Design and Architecture, Software Project Management, Software Testing, and Model-Driven Software Development.

- Adequate knowledge in mathematics, science, and software engineering subjects pertaining to the relevant discipline; ability to use theoretical and applied knowledge in these areas in the solution of complex engineering problems.
- Ability to formulate, and solve complex engineering problems; ability to select and apply proper analysis and modeling methods for this purpose.
- Ability to design a complex system, process, device, or product under realistic constraints and conditions, in such a way as to meet the desired result; ability to apply modern design methods for this purpose.
- Ability to select and use modern techniques and tools needed for analyzing and solving complex problems encountered in software engineering practice; ability to employ information technologies effectively.

- Original copy or photocopy of the acceptance letter.
- Original passport and photocopy of the passport.
- 4 Photographs.
- Original diplomas, transcripts and their certified translations into Turkish or English.
- Original copies of equivalency certificates, if available (The candidates who are accepted to graduate programmes must initially check with the Registrar’s Office staff whether their undergraduate and master’s degree diplomas have equivalency approved by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). The candidates can individually apply to YÖK to obtain their equivalency certificates or the University can help with the process.
- Original copy of the internationally recognized English Proficiency Certificates.
- Original copy of the Turkish Proficiency Certificate for the candidates accepted to the programmes that require Turkish language proficiency.
- Copies of all bank receipts for deposit payments.
