Overview
This Housing and Urban Management programme at City University of Hong Kong is designed to:
- equip graduates with thorough understanding of the social, political, economic, legal and physical institutions within the context of housing and urban management; and
- furnish graduates with high level analytic and management skills for the personal enhancement of the graduate in their future career as well as further development of the profession.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this Programme, students should be able to:- identify existing and emerging institutional and organizational framework of housing management in Hong Kong and the Region;
- outline the housing and urban management practice in Hong Kong and the Region as well as to generate new perspectives of such practice in the light of new trends in housing and urban management;
- apply the knowledge of modern management practice in analyzing the existing and to experiment on new operations of housing and urban organizations;
- integrate the knowledge they acquired in the programme, in the legal, social, physical and management aspects, into their duties as a housing or urban manager and to derive new approaches in practice; and
- present their ideas clearly, systematically and critically, both in verbal and written forms.

- To be eligible for admission, an applicant must satisfy the General Entrance Requirements and hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Priority will be given to those applying with relevant work experience and those who can provide evidence of academic or professional attainment acceptable for this purpose by the University.
- In addition, you must also satisfy the English proficiency requirements stipulated by the University if your undergraduate medium of instruction was not in English.
- Applicants whose entrance qualification is obtained from an institution where the medium of instruction is not English should also fulfill the following minimum English proficiency requirement.
