Common for both specializations

Physics from around 10 ECTS – approx. 50 ECTS in General physics covering: mechanics and thermodynamics, Optics and spectroscopy, electrical circuits and basics ofelectromagnetism

Chemistry: from around 5-10 ECTS in General chemistry, materials science or solid state physics/chemistry

Mathematics: Minimum 5 ECTS – approx. 20 ECTS in Calculus
