Overview
The MA in Integrative Psychotherapy at Munster Technological University is structured to run over a two-year cycle. This programme aims to provide students with advanced knowledge and clinical capabilities, focusing on trauma and attachment-informed relational psychotherapy. It integrates various therapeutic approaches, including relational psychodynamic models, humanistic perspectives, and creative therapies, making it a comprehensive training option for aspiring psychotherapists.
The course is designed to be career-friendly, featuring a blended learning approach that allows students to balance their studies with professional responsibilities. This flexibility is crucial for those who wish to continue working while pursuing their education. Students are expected to engage in practical client work, completing 100 hours of counselling each year, which is supervised by qualified professionals. Additionally, students will also participate in monthly group supervision sessions arranged by the course coordinator.
An essential component of the programme is personal therapy, which requires students to attend weekly sessions throughout their studies. The costs associated with personal therapy and supervision are not included in the course fees and must be arranged independently by the students.
