Overview
This intensive Dietetics programme from University of Malta will give the student the training and skills base needed to practice safely and with proficiency.
The programme will provide you with the skill-set which will be developed gradually throughout the one-year full-time course. The course will rely heavily on guided experiential learning in both hospital and community settings. The ultimate aim is to provide pre-registration education and training to the development of professional dietetic identity, while underpinning lifelong learning that will ensure the development, continuation and evolution of standards of excellence in dietetic practice. The programme of studies extends over one year of full-time studies. Lectures and clinical placements are held during the day. Placements may be carried out in sites where there will be exposure to the Maltese language.

- As a graduate, you will have opportunities in Dietetics and related careers. The Postgraduate Diploma may also provide you opportunities for further training at other postgraduate levels to specialise in particular areas of Dietetics.

General requirements
- a Bachelor's degree obtained with at least Second Class Honours in an area of study deemed suitable by the Board or
- a degree from this or another university which the Board considers as comparable to the degree indicated in paragraph (a).
- Applicants may be required to provide evidence of being in possession of the licence to practice in the register of the profession concerned, as kept by the relevant regulatory council.
- Applicants may be required to provide evidence of work experience following registration with the relevant regulatory council in the proposed area of study or area of specialisation, if applicable. The minimum number of years of experience required shall be indicated at the time of the call for applications.
