Overview
The Diplomacy programme is offered by University of Malta .
Through the taught units offered, you will learn about international relations, history, economics, law and diplomacy, in addition to an elective unit of your choice to accompany your compulsory units. Throughout this year-long full-time course, you will also have the opportunity to demonstrate your acquired knowledge by carrying out a long essay during the second semester.

- As a recognised and qualified diplomat, you will have a keen and insightful approach towards problem solving, with a better capacity to recognise and understand the differences between cultures, organisations, companies and individuals.
- If you are interested in furthering your studies, you may do so by enrolling in an alternative masters’ programme offered by the Department of Mediterranean academy of Diplomatic Studies, or pursue a doctorate in a foreign institution abroad.

General requirements
The Course shall be open to applicants who are:
- employed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of their country or in another governmental entity active in external relations and have served in this capacity for at least one year and
- in possession of a recognized first cycle degree recognized by Senate for the purpose.
- Applicants may be required to attend an interview to ascertain their proficiency in the English Language.
