Pharmacy Masaryk University

Overview

The Pharmacy programme at Masaryk University is carried out in full-time form and the standard study period is 5 years (bachelor's and master's all together). 

It is designed to meet the current expertise of pharmaceutical, medical and natural sciences, the needs of practice and to be a quality basis for further education (PharmDr, PhD). 

A degree in pharmacy is the only field of studies that provides comprehensive knowledge of medications, their preparation, production, and effects, as well as their safe and effective use in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of various diseases.

The studies are completed with a final state examination, which includes the defense of a diploma thesis.  

The diploma is internationally recognized. 

Admission requirements:

• A secondary education (high school) diploma/certificate

• Entrance examination OR A-levels, IB diploma, or Apolytirion with specific results. 

Graduates of the Master's study programme Pharmacy have myriad of professional paths to choose from:

• pharmacist in pharmacy care facilities
• clinical pharmacist in hospitals, or other medical facilities
• bioanalysts in medical laboratories
• specialist in laboratories for research, development and control of drugs and medicinal products
• specialist in pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution companies
• academic / researcher in academia and other institutions involved in science, research, development and innovation
• specialist in health management structures
• expert / researcher in the chemical, food and cosmetic industries
• an expert / consultant in the non-profit sector involved in the protection, promotion and development of the health of individuals and specific groups of the population

National accreditation number: NAU-278/2024-8. 

Master’s degree is compliant with EU Directive 2005/36/ES and therefore fully recognized in all EU member countries and most of the countries in the world.
