Overview

The Master in Paleontology from Universidade Nova de Lisboa will promote a set of cohesive lessons, worth employability and to act as protection and socio-economic recovery of the paleontological heritage. Apart from that, this MSc will fill a gap in terms of offering specific training in this area.

This Master course aims to achieve the following general objectives:

Foster a continuous knowledge update in the exciting field of Palaeontology;

Develop research skills in palaeontology;
Provide a strong foundation and knowledge in palaeontology allowing future graduates to make conscious decisions regarding the palaeontological and geological heritage.

Holders of a degree, or equivalent, in Biology, Geology, Environmental Sciences and Engineering, Geological Engineering, Archaeology, Geography, Biology and Geology Education or other related fields;

Holders of a foreign academic degree in required areas conferred following the 1st cycle of studies according to the Bologna Process;

Holders of a foreign academic degree in required areas recognized as meeting the objectives of the Bachelor´s degree, in the same areas, by the Scientific Council of the FCT NOVA, or the University of Évora (EU), or the School of Science and Technology (ECT);

Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognized as attesting the capacity to accomplish referred cycle of studies by the Scientific Council of the FCT NOVA, or the University of Évora (EU), or the School of Science and Technology (ECT).
