The following are the programme educational objectives (PEO). Upon three to five years of graduation, Medical Education graduates from University of Malaya will be able to:

Plan the development, implementation and monitoring of a medical curriculum using evidence-based approaches
Integrate latest innovations in teaching, learning and assessment of medical students

Follow ethical approaches either as a leader or team member in workplace

Interpret pedagogical content knowledge and research findings in medical education
Apply educational theories into practices at healthcare training institutes
Demonstrate social responsibilities of being a medical educator
Adhere to the legal, ethical and professional values in education profession and research
Communicate effectively with students, colleagues and community either as a team member or a leader
Apply pedagogical content knowledge, research findings and technology to solve educational problems in a scientific manner

Integrate latest information in medical education to engage in lifelong learning

General requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree of Medicine and Degree of Surgery of the University or an equivalent medical qualification which is approved by the Senate; or
A Bachelor's degree in Allied Health from the University or equivalent medical qualification which is approved by the Senate; or
A Bachelor's degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 and show evidence of a minimum 1 year relevant work experience; or
Any other qualification as may be approved by the Senate from time to time
Interview session may be conducted via online communication platform
