Overview
The department offers four master specialisations:
- Cyber Security
- Artificial Intelligence
- Human-Computer Interaction
- Software Foundations and Technology
Each specialisation has its own set of selected electives and can be combined with other areas of computer science. If you feel adventurous and want to combine disciplines within computer science in novel ways you can design a unique study path by combining courses across specialisations, course packages and course from other departments.
The programme is taught in an informal, non-hierarchical and supportive research-based environment by international faculty, who engage directly with students and encourage active participation in research.
The teaching is a mix of lectures, classes and project work, with preparatory work in study groups. Plus, with over 3,000 IT students gathered in the IT-city Katrinebjerg, there are tons of social and academic events to get involved in.
The Computer Science programme delivered by the Aarhus University is also offered as a part-time education where you combine your studies with minimum 25 hours of relevant work. The department are in close cooperation with local industry networks, which can help establish contact to relevant companies.
Career
Graduates work in software development, cybersecurity, project management, consultancy, data analysis, and research. Some also choose to continue their career in academia at the department’s PhD programme.
