Overview

This Computer Vision master's degree programme at Autonomous University of Barcelona attempts to tackle the need for qualified personnel in this field, since computer vision is becoming a fundamental component in multiple systems, such as assisting medical diagnosis and surgery, car driving, quality control and surveillance applications, and improving interfaces for multimedia data access.

The master as a whole is coordinated by the UAB (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona), and the programme has been designed jointly with UOC (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya), UPC (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya) and UPF (Universitat Pompeu Fabra). Researchers from all 4 universities participate in this programme.

As stipulated in the interuniversity collaboration agreement, the Joint Master's Committee (the general coordinator plus each university's coordinator and the module coordinators) or, if so agreed, a delegated sub-committee, is responsible for evaluating applicants' previous studies and making a selection.
This committee presents the list of applicants admitted to the Master's Committee of the UAB School of Engineering, which approves it and refers it to the rector of the UAB for his resolution.
