About the Course

The Statistics program of the University of Peshawar is a two years full-time taught master’s degree running from September to June each academic year. This program delivers an extraordinary training in statistics, where the students acquire the knowledge to analyze and critically interpret data, build statistical models of real situations, and use statistical software packages. On completing the requisite courses one should be able to choose a suitable statistical tool that would solve a given problem of data analysis and communicate the results clearly and concisely.

The MSc is designed to provide a broad but high-level training in applied statistics, computational statistics and statistical methods. These topics are taught through mathematically demanding lectures and problems classes. There is also an option for the dissertation on an applied project. You will have approximately four to six months to work on your dissertation under the supervision of an academic advisor in the department. You will be assessed on your performance in written examinations around July to August, through your work in the assessed practicals set throughout the year, and by the quality and depth of your dissertation.

Candidates on waiting list must sign the attendance sheet in the concerned Departments/Centre/Institute within the specified dates, otherwise admission will not be offered
Hafiz-e-Quran & Disabled applicants must bring admission form acknowledgement receipt at the time of appearing in respective test/interview on respective dates
Admission forms received by post/mail or after due date will not be entertained
