Overview
Some of these disciplines are home to a variety of specialized programmes, including focused research degrees. At University of Kwazulu Natal Edit, we offer undergraduate majors as well as research degrees, up to PhD, in these five disciplinary areas, including Classics.
Key Features
- In addition to around 35 permanent academic staff, we have an active complement of emeritus, associate and honorary staff, including some in partner institutions.
- We are supported by a team of 7 members of the professional staff.
- Across both campuses, nearly 6000 students enroll in our courses annually, and we have over 200 students pursuing graduate degrees.
Programme Structure
- Even before the School of Religion, Philosophy and Classics was created, the various disciplines which comprise it were well-regarded for their commitment to teaching and learning.
- This means that the new School has a wealth of experience on which to draw when it comes to facilitating and promoting teaching and learning.
- As of 2012, a number of projects are on the go as part of our Teaching & Learning Strategic Plan.
