Overview
Archeology, History and Malay Culture (Research) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia the goal of this program is to produce graduates with master’s degree in the Malay World and Civilization studies, which is based on six domains of research at ATMA comprising philosophy, epistemology, thought, archaeology, history, culture, language, Malay literature, linguistic, ethno-science, education, leadership, economy and development in the Malay world.

As a research institution, ATMA holds exceptional experts in various disciplines according to the niche, and almost all of its Research Fellows hold actual positions at ATMA. It enables research, publication, student supervision and so on to be administered in a focused manner. In terms of infrastructure for research and teaching, ATMA is equipped with archaeological laboratories, postgraduate rooms and other necessary facilities.
Students who follow the program at ATMA do not only acquire information from their supervisors but also have the opportunity to broaden their knowledge by attending courses offered such courses for Malay World and Civilization studies, Research Methodology I, Research Methodology II and Academic Writing for Postgraduate Course.

General requirements
Bachelor’s Degree by obtaining a good Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) from a University or any institution of higher learning recognized by the Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA) and/ or having accreditation recognized by foreign Accreditation Body, or institution who has accreditation as prescribed by a programme;
- Doctor of Medicine degree or Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University or any institution of higher learning or an equivalent degree from any institution of higher learning recognized by the Senate;
- any other requirements recognized by the Senate obtained through the Accreditation pf Prior Experiential Learning (APEL);
- fulfils other requirements prescribed by the programme (if applicable); and
- fulfils requirements of the Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA)
