About the Program
The purpose of this program in French Language and Literature at Korea University is to nurture talents who will contribute to the international exchange of culture and the development of Korean culture, working as experts, literary critics, professional translators, and practitioners in the cultural industry. To this end, we offer courses covering major trends and genres of French literature from the Middle Ages to the present, and major fields and theories of French language. With 'translation' as a department-specific keyword, which focuses on the diversity of humanities research, an interdisciplinary curriculum is established and operated to pursue communication between disciplines and society.

- The applicant must complete regular primary and secondary education, equivalent to Grades 1 to 12 in the Korean education system, either in Korea or overseas.
- Completion of qualification examinations and programs such as GED, homeschooling, online courses, or language schools, and so on from the level of primary, secondary to higher education are not regarded as equivalent to a regular academic school curriculum.
