Overview
The Civil and Environmental Engineering Program from King Abdulaziz University enables qualified engineers to pursue advanced studies in this viable field of top technology on a full-time basis. The program passed through several phases of enhancement and development. The latest of these phases was in 2017, where the program was audited and review for the purpose of redevelopment by two independent reviewers from USA and Greece. Thereinafter, the recommendations were implemented and the developed program has been approved by KAU council. The program mission is clear and consistent with the mission of KAU and the college/department.

The program quality performance and improvement are checked against the related evidences, and using surveys feedback, and opinion of Stakeholders', graduates'', staff members, and employers. The analysis of the available data for KPIs reflects the commitment of the program to a very high quality standard of learning.
The program strives to maintain a high quality healthy learning environment through several mechanisms. The students are informed about their rights and duties, the code of conduct, and grievance, complaints, and discipline procedures, using a variety of means which are applied fairly. In addition, students are provided with effective academic, professional, psychological, and social guidance, and counselling services through qualified and sufficient staff. Moreover, the Central Survey System of the University and the EQAUP PLUS are effective mechanisms to evaluate the adequacy and quality of services provided to students and measures their satisfaction with them; and the results are used for improvement.
The program facilities available at the CEE are adequate for realizing the program objectives and achieve the designed PLOs. The Program has laboratories, computer, equipment, and materials that are suitable for each track of the program, which are sufficient to conduct scientific research and attain the program educational goals. The CEE avails to the program plenty of well-equipped classrooms. For the program, safety is paramount and as such it strictly follows the Faculty of Engineering (FOE) health and safety manual. Thus, all general and occupational health and safety requirements are available in the facilities, equipment, and all areas educational and research activities.

General requirements
- Student must not be older than 30 years old.
- Student must obtain a recognized qualification in his/her own country with a minimum grade (very good) in case their final degree classifications were awarded in an estimate.
- Student must be of good conduct and medically fit.
- Student must provide two recommendation letters from his/her previous faculty members
- Student must not have been dismissed from one of the Saudi Institutions.
- Candidates of Arabic Language and Literature, Islamic Law and Studies, Sociology, Psychology, Information Science programs must be professional in spoken and written Arabic language.
- Student must be of good conduct and medically fit.
