Overview
The major focus of the Program in Graduate Institute of Nanomedicine and Medical Engineering's research is to apply nanotechnologies to develop novel reagents for molecular imaging and therapeutics in the fields including, but not limited to, cancer treatment and regenerative medicine.
Furthermore, we actively collaborate with the three Taipei Medical University-affiliated teaching hospitals in Taipei for early phase clinical trials needed for product validation. GINME is an internationally-oriented institute and is implementing dual degree programs, scholar exchange programs and research collaborations with leading institutes. Our aim is to establish an internationally visible program known for research excellence and track record in nanoproduct incubation.
What you'll study
During the first year, the enrollment of GINME was successfully achieved to offer both Ph.D. and master programs. The internationally-oriented GINME institute provides dual degree programs, scholar exchange programs and research collaborations for students with such as University of Southern California and Case Western Reserve University in USA, and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
GINME is dedicated to solving clinical needs through advanced nanotechnology. Faculty has established research laboratories, prototyping factories, and clinical trial centers in the affiliated TMU teaching hospitals to streamline clinical applications of novel nanomaterials for diagnosis, therapeutics, and public health applications.
Students will learn how to apply electrical, electronics and systems engineering in medicine and biology, and also gain experience in developing and using new technologies, including medical, instrumentation and prosthetic devices, and discover the properties of materials used in the formation of these devices.
