Overview
Key features
The goal of the Physics programme at the University of Luxembourg is to explain and predict the physical properties of materials, e.g., semiconductors, magnetic materials and liquid crystals, based on their microscopic constituents.
Objectives
Solid education in theoretical and experimental physics will help the student to foster autonomous scientific work and to develop problem-solving capacities. The student will be introduced to current research topics during the four semesters of the masters.
The first year consists of lectures, seminars, and laboratory classes, whereas the complete second year is exclusively spend on a research project within one of the research groups of the Department of Physics and Materials Science (DPHYMS).
