Overview
Oil and gas occur in a wide variety of geological conditions and physical states. A petroleum engineer is faced with the task of extracting these valuable resources from the bowels of the Earth and, using modern technological solutions, transporting oil, oil products and gas to consumers.
The program at RUDN University is implemented in English. Oil and Gas Engineering students study the general scientific cycle of disciplines, as well as special professional disciplines that provide for an in-depth study of the processes of field development and oil and gas transportation.
Key Features
- Agreements with oil and gas and oilfield services companies — leaders in the oil and gas industry — open up opportunities for students to develop competencies in the development of a wide range of real research and production projects during research, production, technological and pre-diploma practice.
- In the process of preparation, students communicate with the heads of specialized enterprises in the framework of scientific and methodological seminars, workshops and internships.
Programme Structure
The block of the special course includes disciplines that consider:
- the issues of design and technological calculation for the transportation of gas and low-viscosity oils;
- the sequential pumping of petroleum products;
- the transportation of high-viscosity and highly congealing oils, etc.
