Programme Overview

The Department of Physics and Astronomy from Western University - Canada has a vibrant core faculty of 30 researchers covering the areas of astronomy, condensed matter physics, medical physics, atmospheric physics and planetary science.

All programs are housed in the Physics and Astronomy building. One of the oldest on campus, our building underwent a major renovation completed in 2013, which provides students, faculty, and researchers with state of the art equipment and facilities.

With core faculty conducting front-line research in a range of areas, the Department of Physics and Astronomy provides students with an array of exciting professional development and high-impact learning opportunities. Our Department is renowned for its research excellence, exceptional training, quality of life, and professional development opportunities.
