Career opportunities

• The Department of Health Services Management has been training and producing managers and leaders in health care for the past 20 years. Many of the senior managers and leaders in the public and private health care sectors have undergone training and instruction through one of the programmes run by the Department.
• Qualifications in management is a prerequisite for many middle and senior management posts today and, therefore, a Master’s qualification in health services management would provide graduates with access to management positions, not only in health care but also in other related sectors such as education, social care and in academia.
• A qualification at Master’s level also provides graduates with the possibility to continue their studies and research at doctoral level. In fact several alumni have proceeded to acquire doctoral degrees after completing their master’s degree. This allows them to take up an academic or research oriented career in Malta or abroad.
