- Explore pedagogical approaches used in mainstream schools and in SEN settings
- Develop inclusive teaching strategies to address the needs of students from a range of backgrounds and with a variety of abilities and learning styles
- Recognise the different needs of each child, and champion and value the diversity of the whole classroom
- Learn how to encourage and support the progress of all your pupils, including those with SEND
- Engage in joint practice development for inclusion with fellow practitioners, which you’ll then be able to apply to your own educational setting
- Apply inclusive practices to foster a culture of acceptance, respect and belonging in a professional learning community

General requirements
- Applicants should either have a second class honours degree or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment.
- Applicants who have completed our PGCert Special Education Needs Coordination in the last five years will be considered for module exemptions from Inclusive Pedagogy (40 credits) and Participation & Learning (20 credits) and will only need to complete a further 120 level 7 credit points.
- All applications should be supported by a reference, either academic or professional.
